A wonderful place if you are looking to a quiet stay. Lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need and very close to the beautiful village of Fowey

My partner and I had a wonderful stay over Christmas and New Year in this perfect getaway. Karen was a very generous host, providing us with fresh eggs, access to the vegetable patch and a lovely bottle of fizz on arrival! The cottage has everything you need for quiet nights in by the fire. Highly recommended.

This must be one of the loveliest and most peaceful spots in Cornwall and Karen made sure that we could find it easily with her detailed directions and, as it the weather was so cold, that it was warm and welcoming for us and Bertie the Bedlington terrier. This home is comfortably and attractively and thoughtfully furnished. The pretty mugs and cups are a special joy - most are made of bone china and all are attractive to hold and drink out of. and there is plenty of hot water There's something very special about waking up to see hens and pigs going about their lives outside your window and Karen also encouraged us to help ourselves from the kitchen garden - we did - to the most enormous onion! The surrounding area is gorgeous for (dog) walks and there are delightful towns and villages, with great (dog friendly) pubs and restaurants (all flagged up by Karen with helpful crib sheets in the cottage) - and as the weather was perfectly clear, we got to see the stars and the milky way as the skies are dark above Karen's farm. What a bonus!

Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet.  Good weather and lovely walks with the dog.  Lovely romantic place to spend valentines. Welcome pack was a lovely thought and cottage had everything you could possible need.  Lewis enjoyed pheasent watch!

Thank you both for the most wonderful week at Carpenters Cottage..... for your warm hospitality & ability to get us involved in some life-enhancing experiences - mackerel fishing (and eating), chick watch, spuds and radish straight from the ground.  We smiled from start to finish.  Hope we'll be back as soon as books allow.
